454	Billy Ray Clark (1928 - 2014) died May 10, 2014 in Denver, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Elsie Helen Torgerson Clark; his mother Cora Crabtree Clark and his father William Edgar Clark. Born in Little Falls, Minnesota, he was a 1946 graduate of Bemidji High School and, following service in the United States Navy, graduated from Bemidji State Teacher's College in 1953. He started his career in insurance and surety bonding with Travelers Insurance Co. in Minneapolis, Minn., transferring to Denver, Colo. to lead the Travelers' bond department in 1958. In 1962, he joined Talbert Corp. in Denver and rose to the ranks of President Emeritus, leaving to found his own firm, Bill Clark + Associates, and later affiliated with International Risk Group in Littleton, Colo. Bill Clark is survived by four daughters, seven grandchildren and a great grandson including: Nancy Clark and her children Shaun Cameron Clark; Jarod Leigh Clark and wife Holly Bluml Clark and their son Otto Bon Hayden Clark of Denver; Dr. Kathryn Clark and her husband Chris Kocher and sons Gregory Clark Kocher and Geoffrey Tucker Kocher of San Francisco; Julie Clark-Pfeiffer and her husband Jon Pfeiffer and sons Michael Clark Pfeiffer and Jackson Ray Pfeiffer of Malibu; and Janice Renée Clark Goldwasser and her husband Joseph Goldwasser and daughter Sophia Renée Goldwasser of Atlanta. A Memorial will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Horan McConaty Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., followed by private burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Han var aktiv med kampsport, sykling og tennis i yngre dager, og han var veldig interessert i musikk. Selv spilte han både gitar, munnspill og trommer. Han var utdannet innen grafisk industri og jobbet bl.a mange år i avisen Nationen. Det siste året av sitt liv var han stolt farfar til tvillinger. Was introduced to a dashing young Air Force pilot with Hollywood, leading man good looks and married in May 1953. Traveled all over Europe with her husband who was stationed in Germany for 3 years. Had 2 daughters and eventually moved back to sunny California. Employed in the insurance industry for many years. Resided in the San Gabriel Valley for over 30 years. She exemplified a strong work ethic and enjoyed sewing (made many of her own clothes and her kids too), cooking, (most family Thanksgivings were at our house) baking, (loved the smell of homemade bread when we came through the door!) and travel. 466	Burial services will be held in Plymouth Union Cemetery Monday for Dr. John P. Koehler, 81, onetime Plymouth resident who headed the Milwaukee Health Department from 1925 to 1940. Dr. Koehler died at his home, R. 1. West Bend, Thursday after a heart attack. Appointed director of the Milwaukee Health Department in 1925, Dr. Koehler helped Milwaukee break the grip of a smallpox epidemic by supervising the inoculation of 411,000 residents. The mass project, greatest in the city's history, broke the epidemic with a loss of only 87 lives. Born in Russia, Dr. Koehler came to Nebraska with his family in 1886. He played football and basketball while attending the University of Nebraska, studied at the Chicago Theological Seminary and was graduated from Marquette University medical school in 1911. As a coach, he headed teams at Lawrence College, Appleton, and the University of Denver. He was deputy commissioner of public health in Milwaukee from 1918 to 1920, served as director of the county dispensary for five years before being named as health commissioner by the late Mayor Hoan in 1925. Dr. Koehler retired at the age of 60, entered politics and ran unsuccessfully as a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in 1940 and 1944. In 1948 he was a delegate to the GOP convention, backing General Mac Arthur for president. Survivors include his wife, Mabel, and a son, John P. Jr., Bayside. The body will lie in state at the Weiss Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. Farwell, Milwaukee, from 2 p.m. Sunday. 470	CDR. USN. Ret. Chaplain Seth E. Anderson, affectionately known in Navy circles as the Missionary Chaplain, died August 8, 2006 at the age of 92. He was born in Pasadena, California on October 12, 1913. He obtained a bachelor's degree from Baylor University, Waco, Texas, a Master of Theology from Southwestern Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, and an M.A. from National University, San Diego, California. He was commissioned Lieutenant Jr. Grade in the Navy Chaplains' Corps in 1942, and, after finishing chaplains' training in Norfolk, was immediately sent with the Marines to the war zone during World War II. He also served in the Korean War. He was Chaplain aboard the USS Toledo when it was commissioned in Philadelphia and scheduled for a diplomatic tour around the world. During this cruise, Chaplain Anderson delivered a large shipment of Bibles to Madame Chiang Kai Shek, wife of the Leader of Formosa. They were given as a gift to China from the USA. During this diplomatic tour, he and other staff officers were entertained for dinner by Ibn Saud in his palace in 1947. They, in return, had the privilege of entertaining a contingent of top staff officials, including Ibn Saud and his sons, aboard the USS Toledo. Chaplain Anderson received orders to the Military Transport Service, Seattle to assist in the transfer of all the Army ships to the Navy. Representing the Navy, he made the maiden trip to Alaska. While on duty at Sand Point Naval Air Station in Seattle, Washington, he initiated the starting of a Southern Baptist Church in Northgate, a suburb of Seattle, which is now one of the larger churches in that area. He would conduct his usual morning worship services at Sand Point Naval Air Station, then rush over to preach to the small group of people who had conducted Sunday School until his arrival. He was instrumental in starting two churches in Japan, and also collected funds enabling a Japanese student to attend a theological seminary with the intent of becoming a minister. Upon retirement from the Navy in 1965, he became a Pastor of the Carlton Hills Southern Baptist Church, Santee, California, serving there 25 years before totally retiring in November 1990. Immediately upon his arrival in Santee in October 1965, Chaplain Anderson volunteered as a chaplain at Grossmont, University, and El Cajon Valley Hospitals before any of them had an official chaplaincy program. He continued this volunteer work at Grossmont and El Cajon Valley Hospitals for over 25 years. He was awarded numerous medals and commendations while serving in the Navy, and honored a number of times by the staff of the hospitals, but remained a humble servant of the Lord. 471	CELIDONIO Alice Bernice (nee Thorsen), of Cliffside Park, NJ, has passed away at the age of 84 on Monday, March 30th, 2015. Alice was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children June Steitz, John Celidonio and his wife Karen, Judy Scalabrin and her husband Ernie; grandchildren Jessica Dodge, Kristen and Shaina Steitz, Ernest John and Rebecca and Crystal Scalabrin and Sara Celidonio; sister Edna Lohmann, brother-in-law Donald Celidonio, sisters-in-law, Rose Celidonio and Eva Biegel, son-in-law Warren Dodge, as well as several nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life John Celidonio, as well daughter Jayne Celidonio Dodge and brother Arthur Thorsen. Born in Bloomfield, NJ, Alice spent her school years in West New York before settling in Cliffside Park for the past 68 years. Alice will be missed by many. Visitation will take place at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Avenue, Ridgefield, NJ (201) 945-5032 on Monday, April 6th from 4-8 PM, with a short service at 7 PM. Entombment will be private. 472	Charles (Chuck) Allen, 72, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2021 in Whitewater. Chuck was born on April 19, 1949 to Stanley and Beatrice (Berge) Allen in Fort Atkinson, WI. He graduated from Cambridge High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. At Madison he made lifelong friends and met his (future) wife of 48 years, Mary Jo (MJ) Rigney. Chuck earned two varsity letters on the UW rowing (crew) team and never lost his passion for rowing or the Badgers in general. He and MJ have been football season ticket holders for over 25 years and remain avid Wisconsin fans and supporters. After graduation they were married in Madison on December 29, 1973. In the years that followed, they lived in New England (near Mary Jo's family), where their daughter was born. In 1979 they returned to family and friends in Wisconsin, settling in Milton, where their sons were born. Chuck had a long and successful career in commercial construction as an estimator, project manager and general contractor. He was very committed to and proud of his work and his love of and talents for building carried over into woodworking hobbies, before and during retirement. Though he was incredibly committed to his professional work, his real life was his family. In addition to being a loving husband, he was a wonderful and proud father to his children and his beloved four grandchildren who brought him much joy and delight. He also loved his many loyal dogs over the years. Chuck and Mary Jo found delight and adventure in their travels; whether it was visiting their children in different cities and countries around the world or planning regular vacations on their own or with friends. Despite Chuck's diagnosis with Alzheimer's disease in 2016, they continued to take many trips each year. Some favorites included New Zealand, Ecuador, multiple European cruises, Disney World and accomplishing his goal with MJ of seeing all 50 states. They also visited over 15 countries. Chuck was an avid golfer, playing regularly with Bill on local courses and with the Boyz on their annual outing up north. Fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities were always high on his list and he enthusiastically watched and played various sports with his family and friends over the years. Music also played a very special role throughout his life and he loved to attend concerts and plays with MJ and Meghan. Of course, he took the most pride and enjoyment in seeing his own children and grandchildren's sporting and arts events. He is survived by his wife, his three children, four grandchildren, sister, brother, sister-in-laws as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and uncle Roger. 478	Corrine "Mombo" Turner, 89, of Chippewa Falls passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Grace Willowbrook in Eau Claire. Mombo was born Sept. 8, 1919, to Amanda (Anderson) and Henry Hendrickson in Sand Creek. She was united in marriage to Clifford Turner on May 10, 1942, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Corrine was an avid bowler and golfer until she was 85. The most important thing in Mombo's life was her family that she loved with all her heart. She is survived by her children, Dan Turner, Nancy (Ed) Kuechenmeister, Rick and Cindy Turner, all of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren, Paul Kuechenmeister, Cori Kuechenmeister (Nick Sandvig) of Minneapolis, Eric (Nicole) Turner, Chris (Ashley) Turner of Chippewa Falls; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Keira Turner; two sisters, Harriet Sola of Albert Lea, Minn., and Betty (Glenn) Olson of Rochester, Minn.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harvey Hendrickson; one sister, Helen Hendrickson; and brothers-in-law, Iner Sola and Harry Kisilewski. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls, with the Rev. Paul Oppedahl officiating.
