5754	The funeral service for Iner C. Sola of Albert Lea will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate. Interment will be in London Deer Creek Cemetery, rural Northwood, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service. Iner died Friday, June 18, 2004, at Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 78 years old. Iner was born Nov. 26, 1925, at Northwood, Iowa, to Palmer and Mabel Sola. He graduated from Lyle High School. Iner served in the U.S. Army from 1945-46, stationed in Japan. He married Harriet Hendrickson on Oct. 31, 1959, at Chippewa Falls, Wis. Iner was a member of First Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school for 30 years. He also was past president of the church and served on various church committees. Iner was employed by the U.S.D.A. as county executive director of ASCS (Freeborn County) for 40 years. He retired in 1991. In retirement, he worked in real estate and insurance and also worked as a funeral assistant for Bonnerup Funeral Service. Iner was a member of Western Star Lodge No. 26, Albert Lea Chapter No. 30, Royal Arch Masons, Southgate Council No. 15, Apollo Commandery No. 12, Osman Shrine Club, Albert Lea Shrine Club, and the Order of the Eastern Star. He also belonged to the Elks, American Legion, VFW, NAFRE, United Way, Kiwanis Golden K II, and was past president of Minnesota ASCS Employees Association. Iner is survived by his wife, Harriet Sola of Albert Lea; two daughters: Carolee Sola Rame and her husband Scott of Sammanish, Wash., and Judee Sola Henry and her husband Paul of Edmonds, Wash; grandchildren: Janae, Melissa and Jessica Rame; and sisters-in-law, Sandy Sola of Glenville, Betty Olson and her husband Glenn of Rochester, and Corrine Turner of Chippewa Falls, Wis. Iner is preceded in death by his parents, Palmer and Mabel Sola; sisters: Marjorie Sola Neiman and her husband Velmer, Carolyn Sola and a sister in infancy; brother, Paul Sola; sister-in-law, Helen Hendrickson; and brothers-in-law: Harry Kisilewski, Cliff Turner, and Harvey and his wife Mildred Hendrickson. ~contributed by Mitch Helle	Sola, Iner Clinton (I36207)

5756	Theresa A. Jarombek, age 84 of Grand forks, died on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Larimore Good Samaritan Center. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the Amundson Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Theresa Ann Jarombek was born on August 15, 1934 in Grand Forks. She was reared and educated in the area. After her education she began working at the Westward Ho as s Waitress. Theresa was married to Theodore Jarombek. This marriage later ended. In the late 70's she moved to California and worked at an airport for many years. In 2014 Theresa returned to Grand Forks. In 2017 She moved to the Larimore Good Samaritan Center and has resided there since. She is survived by her sons, 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. 5769	Two Bainbridge sisters lost their lives and the husband of one is in a critical condition in the Bainbridge Hospital as a result of a crash between an automobile and a freight train, Monday afternoon bout 2:10 between Bainbridge and Afton (Chenango Co, NY). Mrs Robert Burdick, 23, of Mt. Pleasant, was instantly killed when the car in which she was riding was struck by a south bound D & H train at the Russell Partridge private crossing, near the intersection of Route 7 and Algerine street. She received a broken neck and a fracture of the scull. Mrs Percy Wallace, 25, of Bainbridge East Side, died in the Bainbridge Hospital of a fractured scull and an injured brain at five o'clock Tuesday morning. Robert Burdick, 25, of Bainbridge East Side, died in the Bainbridge Hospital of a fractured scull and a ruptured lung, his physician, Dr. Edward Danforth, stated. An accidental death verdict was issued by Dr. Carl Meacham of Greene, Chenango County Coroner. An investigation by Inspector Ernest A. Maynard and Trooper James Fleming of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, revealed that the Burdick family had gone to the Partridge farm to see about renting the tenant house there. The approach to the crossing coming from the Partridge farm is very steep. It is thought by the State Police that the automobile had nearly crossed the tracks when struck in the right rear side by engine 1119. The train which was in charge of engineer W.J. Hinkleman of Binghamton, and conductor Stanley Lavendusky, of Oneonta, was travelling at a speed between 35 and 40 miles per hour. It is understood that this is the first accident the engineer has had in his 33 years of service. H.L. Sutton, who lives opposite the crossing of Route 7, said he was working in his garage and saw the train and car approaching but he thought the car was clear of the train when he heard the crash and saw the auto sliding down the bank onto the side of the main highway. He stated further to the investigating officers that he heard moanes and saw a woman laying near the rear of the car. Dr. Edward Danforth was summoned and Colwell's ambulance was called and Mrs. Wallace and Mr. Burdick were taken to the Bainbridge Hospital assisted by Russel Elander, who is in charge at night of the first aid at the Scintilla Magneto Co. The body of Mrs. Burdick was taken to Colwell's undertaking and later removed to Sidney by Carr & Hare undertakers where the funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The body of Mrs. Wallace was removed from the hospital by Kays & Guy of Deposit. Mrs. Burdick, mother of two small children, Julian, 6 and Ardice, 3, was born Esther Jensen in Iola, Wisconsin, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Martin Jensen, Mt. Pleasant, who reside on the farm known as the Munk farm. Mr. Burdick's condition remained the same Wednesday noon according to Mrs. Ethel Hodge supervisor of the Bainbridge Hospital. Mr. Burdick who is the son of Mr. Henry Burdick, of Unadilla, was the person who nearly froze to death early this Spring when his car was stuck in a snow drift on Mt. Pleasant on his way home from the Scintilla, where he is employed nights. He was fount by Jesse Doolittle the next morning, and it took about three hours for him to recover. Mrs. Wallace was born Eleanor Jensen, also in Iola, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Jensen. It was reported that Mr. and Mrs. Jensen also lost a son in an automobile accident sometime ago. Funeral services of Mrs. Wallace will be held in the First Prestbyterian Church, Afton, Friday afternoon at 2 P.M. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Afton (Chenango Co, NY). Doherty "God, Family, Country" Dr. Hugh Francis Doherty of Spring Lake, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, was called to Heaven on March 29, 2021 while surrounded by his loving children in order to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. Born on January 7, 1928 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Hugh and Elsie Doherty. Predeceased by his devoted wife of 37 years Ginger Doherty, brother Vince, and sister Joan Tierney and his 2 grandchildren Christina DeChard and Danny DeChard. Hugh attended St. Peter's Prep in JC and Columbia University, served his country as a Navy Vet, and graduated from St. Louis School of Dentistry. He had a thriving dental practice for many years in his hometown of Jersey City and then ran the Business of Dental Practice. Beloved Father of Sharon and her husband Dan Kuhnert of Sandpoint, ID, Hugh and his wife Patricia Doherty of Little Silver, NJ, Mary Doherty of Hackensack, NJ, Maureen Doherty of Tampa, FL, Timothy Doherty of Hackensack, NJ, Susan Doherty and her husband Patrick Gibney of Boca Raton, FL, and Kathleen "Kitty" Doherty of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. He was blessed with 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. "Teach only love, because that is who you are" Dad's greatest passion was teaching. We learned so much from him through all the peaks and valleys of life, primarily the importance of showing up for one another and having faith in God. He was fondly called "Doc" by all he mentored, including extended family, friends, and the young dental professionals he took under his wing. His enthusiasm was infectious. He was often the life of the party and loved NY Giants football (which he shared with us). Doc's Sunday night basketball games under the lights at 331 Division were legendary and still talked about some 50 years later by the town youth who played in them. All of his children cherished being in his presence. Whether on trips to the Jersey shore or Maine, it was truly an adventure with him at the wheel and with Mom riding shotgun. We love you, Dad, forever and ever. For that is what you taught us, and we are eternally grateful to have you as Our Father...
