- Harold M. Eldrup,Jr. of Pensacola passed away on July 8th, 2005. Harold was born in Avalon, NJ on March 5th, 1930 in Avalon, NJ. He served 26 years in the Navy and retired Sr. Chief in 1979. He also retired from Naval Aviation Depot in 1993 as Field Team Supervisor. He was a 32 degree Master Mason, a member of the Blue Lodge #42, Elks Lodge #2108, Fleet Reserve Branch #022, the American Legion Post #340, and a member of the Oriental Band Hadji Temple and transported the children to the Tampa Shriner's Hospital. His favorite pastimes were golf, RVing and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, nine children and 16 grandchildren: Beatrice Marshall and children, Jennifer, Lisa and Gary Jr. of Pennsylvania; Harold A. Eldrup, Charlie and child, Sondra of Pensacola; Linda Steffans, Pete and children, Eric, Melanie and Kurt of New Jersey; Michael Eldrup and Marie of NJ; Larry Giberson, Geneen and children, Karen, Lauren and Christopher of NJ; Brian Giberson, Sherree and children Carmen and Chelsea of Pensacola; Cathy Petillo, Tony and children; Michael, Sean and Dennis of NJ; Donald Giberson of Pensacola and Denise O'Dell, Patrick and child Kieran of Pensacola, 4 great grandchildren; 1 niece; Suzanne Maloney and many loving friends.
We will miss him greatly, as will all that have been blessed with his friendship and laughter.
Funeral services will be held at Faith Chapel South Friday July 15, 2005 at ll:l5 am with Brother Bob Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:l5 am to time of service.
