- William J. Miles
Dies at Hospital
William J. Miles, of 216 Marian Drive, Westvale, died yesterday at Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital.
A native of New York City, Mr. Miles lived 24 years in this area. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Preparatory High School and Fordham University, receiving a bachelor of arts degree in 1935. He was employed by Carrier Overseas Corp. 24 years, most recently as a marketing analyst.
Mr. Miles was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a charter member of Christ the King Council 4114, Knights of Columbus. He was also past president of the Holy Name Society and Parish Council of St. Charles Borromeo Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Isabelle Anderson Miles; a son, Dr. William J. Miles Jr. of Houston, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Isabella Catherine Miles Shaver and Miss Joan Arleen Miles, and one granddaughter.
Services will be at 8:15 a.m. Monday at the John C. Tindall Funeral Home and 8:45 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, where a concelebrated Mass of the resurrection will be offered. Burial arrangements are incomplete.
