- Morgan Moen, 81, of Bagley, died on Wednesday, July 17, 1991, at Greensview Health Care Center in Bagley.
Morgan was born January 20, 1910, in Eden Township, Polk County, to Anton and Johanna Moen. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He attended the Lincoln School, rural Gully. Morgan was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural Gonvick, and served as cemetery sexton for many years.
He was married to Helen Sunsdahl on September 5, 1936, at Gonvick. They made their home on a farm south of Gully until moving to Biwabik in 1952. Morgan was employed by St. James Mining Co. and later worked as a painter. In 1973 he retired and moved to Bagley.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sisters, Mrs. Vern Olson of Moorhead and Olive Dunrud of Fosston; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
His funeral was held Friday, July 19 at Samhold Lutheran Church in Gonvick with the Rev. Eric Midthun officiating. Burial was in the Bagley City Cemetery with the Cease Funeral Home of Bagley in charge of the arrangements.
